Terms of Service

1. The service

StreamChum provides tools for combining livestream chats, managing moderation, and creating overlays, widgets, commands, device integrations, and related streaming experiences. Features may change as we improve the service. In these terms, “StreamChum,” “we,” and “us” mean the Operator identified in our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter into these terms. If you use StreamChum for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping credentials secure, and activity under your account.

3. Workspaces and staff

Workspace owners control membership and permissions. Owners are responsible for invited staff and for ensuring that moderators and administrators use StreamChum lawfully. Access may be removed by a workspace owner or authorised administrator.

4. Connected platforms

StreamChum can connect to third-party services such as Twitch, YouTube/Google, Kick, and Discord. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms, policies, API limits, and availability. You authorise StreamChum to access and act on connected accounts only to provide features you request. We are not responsible for a third party changing, limiting, suspending, or discontinuing its service or API.

When you connect Discord, StreamChum installs a bot that can post messages you configure (such as timers and event announcements) and respond to slash commands in the Discord server you select. StreamChum does not read Discord chat. You are responsible for content you configure StreamChum to post to Discord and for complying with Discord’s terms, Community Guidelines, and developer rules for that server.

When you use the StreamChum Stream Deck plugin or another documented device integration, you authorise it to use the limited, revocable StreamChum API token you provide to list and run Actions in your selected workspace. An Action may send chat, control OBS, operate overlays, or perform other steps you configured. You are responsible for reviewing an Action before assigning it to a device key, protecting the token, and revoking it if the device or token is lost or shared.

When you connect OBS Studio (or compatible software) through the StreamChum OBS plugin, bridge, or related features, you authorise StreamChum to read layout information and to make changes you request, including through Actions, device integrations, and optional OBS setup assistance. Those changes can create, modify, move, hide, or remove scenes, sources, filters, scene collections, profiles, and other OBS settings on your machine. You are responsible for backing up your OBS configuration (including scene collections and profiles) before using these features, and for reviewing proposed or automated changes before applying them, especially during a live broadcast. StreamChum does not guarantee that OBS changes will succeed, be reversible, or preserve your prior layout. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for lost, overwritten, corrupted, or unsuitable OBS work, scenes, sources, media, recordings, stream settings, or broadcast outcomes arising from your use of StreamChum’s OBS features, your connection or plugin failures, or third-party OBS behaviour.

StreamChum OBS Plugin software. We may offer a downloadable StreamChum OBS plugin (or similar bridge software) that you install on your computer and that runs inside or alongside OBS. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use that software only with StreamChum and only on devices you own or control. The software is provided “as is” and “as available.” You install, configure, update, and use it at your own risk. It may crash, freeze, misbehave, conflict with other OBS plugins or versions, fail to pair or reconnect, mis-apply stream or recording settings, interrupt or prevent a go-live or broadcast, or otherwise affect OBS, your stream, or your machine. To the maximum extent permitted by law, StreamChum is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the OBS plugin or bridge, including lost or corrupted OBS configuration, failed or interrupted streams or recordings, downtime, missed audiences, reputational harm, hardware or software problems, or the need to reinstall OBS or restore backups. You are responsible for verifying compatibility with your OBS build, keeping backups, testing before going live, and uninstalling the plugin if you no longer want it. The OBS plugin is not affiliated with or endorsed by the OBS Project; use of OBS remains subject to OBS’s own terms and licences.

5. Trademarks and third-party brands

Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Discord, Ko-fi, OBS Studio, Stream Deck, Elgato, and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners. StreamChum is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those companies. Product and company names on StreamChum are used only to describe interoperability. Game titles in pack names describe a look and feel only, packs are original StreamChum designs, not official merchandise or assets from those games.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use StreamChum to:

• break any law, platform rule, or another person’s rights;
• harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or unlawfully monitor anyone;
• distribute malware, spam, deceptive content, or unauthorised advertising;
• automate Discord posts solely to fake or inflate server activity;
• bypass security, access controls, rate limits, or platform restrictions;
• probe, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or disrupt the service, except where law expressly permits;
• share secret overlay URLs, access tokens, or credentials in a way that compromises an account; or
• use automated access other than documented StreamChum features or APIs.

7. Artificial intelligence features

StreamChum may offer optional AI-assisted features, including viewer briefs, overlay/widget generation, image assets used by those tools, collection branding, and OBS setup assistance. These features may be limited to paid plans. When available, they may send prompts, chat excerpts, display names, configuration, OBS layout information, and attached reference images to our AI providers (currently OpenAI and Google AI / Gemini) so the feature can run. Which provider processes a request depends on the feature and model in use. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

AI outputs are probabilistic suggestions. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable for a live stream. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publishing, applying them in OBS, acting on viewer briefs, or relying on them for moderation or community decisions. Do not submit content you do not have the right to use, and do not use AI features to generate unlawful, infringing, or platform-prohibited material.

We do not guarantee any particular AI quality, availability, or model. We may change, limit, or discontinue AI features, models, or providers. Your use of third-party AI providers through StreamChum remains subject to those providers’ acceptable-use and service terms insofar as they apply to the processing we request on your behalf.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of content and configurations you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve StreamChum. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide the content and that its use through StreamChum does not violate law or another person’s rights.

9. StreamChum ownership

StreamChum, its software, branding, design, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership or grant rights to our trademarks. Subject to your ownership of prompts and other content you submit, we (and where applicable our licensors) own the StreamChum service, underlying models’ weights we do not control, and the software that delivers AI features. You may use AI-generated outputs produced for your workspace in connection with your streaming activity, provided you comply with these terms and applicable law.

10. Plans and payment

StreamChum is offered as a paid subscription service, with an optional free trial. Current plan names, what’s included, usage meters, seat limits, retention, and list prices are described on our pricing page and may change over time. The features and limits that apply to your workspace are those shown in the product and on the pricing page during your trial or at purchase, and those confirmed at checkout when you subscribe. These terms do not set prices; if anything here conflicts with the pricing page or checkout confirmation for a purchase, the pricing page and checkout confirmation control for that purchase.

10.1 Free trial

New workspaces may receive a free trial with access to features as described on our pricing page when the trial starts. We may offer the trial without requiring a payment card. Trial length, what’s included, and what happens when it ends will be stated when you start the trial (and reflected on the pricing page). Unless you purchase a paid plan before the trial ends (or within any grace period we communicate), access to the paid product may pause until you subscribe. We do not currently offer a free forever plan; we may introduce one later.

10.2 Paid plans and renewals

When paid checkout is available, the price, billing period, currency, applicable taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation instructions for the plan you select will be shown before you complete purchase. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel through the account billing controls we provide (or by contacting us); cancellation stops future renewals and generally takes effect at the end of the then-current paid period unless we state otherwise at purchase. You remain responsible for charges incurred before cancellation takes effect.

10.3 Meters, seats, and overages

Some features are limited by plan, including AI usage meters (credits), staff seats, and retention windows, as shown on the pricing page and in the product. Where meters apply, plan allowances reset on the schedule described in the product (typically about monthly). That credit period may differ from your subscription billing period, for example, a yearly subscription can still receive a monthly-style credit reset as shown in the product. Exhausting a meter may pause or degrade that AI feature until the allowance resets, you upgrade, or you buy additional credits.

We may offer AI credit packs (top-ups) and other add-ons as shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Pack credits are added to the same workspace AI credit wallet as your plan allowance and are charged as shown at purchase. Unless checkout states a longer window, unused pack credits expire at the end of the then-current credit period together with unused plan allowance when that period resets. You are responsible for usage under your workspace, including usage by invited staff.

10.4 Prices, currency, and taxes

Up-to-date list prices and available currencies are shown on our pricing page. The currency and amount you are charged are those confirmed at checkout. Prices may exclude or include VAT or other taxes depending on your location and what the checkout shows; you are responsible for any taxes we are required to collect, which will be added or included as indicated before you pay.

We may change list prices or plan packaging. Material price increases for a renewing subscription will be notified in advance where required by law or by these terms, and will apply from the next renewal unless you cancel before then.

10.5 Payment processing

Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). By paying, you also agree to the applicable Stripe terms for the payment method you use. StreamChum does not store full card numbers; Stripe processes payment credentials under its own policies. You authorise us (and Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide for the selected plan, renewals, and any add-ons you buy.

If a payment fails, we may retry, notify you, and after a reasonable grace period suspend or limit product access until payment succeeds. You remain responsible for unpaid amounts that are due.

10.6 Refunds and consumer rights

Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, fees already paid are non-refundable, including unused time in a billing period and unused AI or feature meters. If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, nothing in these terms removes mandatory rights you have under applicable law (including any cooling-off or cancellation rights that apply to digital subscriptions in your circumstances). If a mandatory right applies, contact us and we will honour it.

10.7 Chargebacks and misuse

If you dispute a valid charge with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we may suspend or terminate access while the dispute is investigated. Fraudulent use of payment methods is prohibited.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using StreamChum and request account deletion at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, address a legal or security risk, enforce these terms, or respond to prolonged inactivity. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages, third-party failures, quota limits, and internet conditions may affect availability. We may add, modify, or discontinue features.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StreamChum is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. AI features are included in this disclaimer: we do not warrant that AI outputs will be accurate, safe, non-infringing, or fit for live use. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StreamChum and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, broadcasts, or opportunities. Our total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid StreamChum during the 12 months before the claim or £100. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Indemnity

If you use StreamChum for a business, you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, your content, or your material breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where mandatory law gives you that right. Before filing a claim, please contact us and allow 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or law changes. We will publish the revised terms here and update the date above. If a material change affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.

18. General

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganisation, financing, merger, or sale of the service.
